ITALY VENICE & RUC RESIDENCY 2019
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS
Upon registration, we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of your workshop(s). Payment of this deposit confirms your reservation. Participants are not guaranteed a spot in any program without a paid deposit. Payment of your deposit will be taken as your acceptance of these terms and conditions and will constitute a contract between yourself and The Crit Lab/Patricia Miranda. Your full balance is due by April 30, 2019.
50% Deposit: Non-refundable. Any amount paid beyond the 50% deposit will be refunded before the April 30th deadline. After April 30th, all payments are non-refundable. If full balance is not received by April 30th, The Crit Lab may consider workshop and housing selection forfeit and offer either, or both, to another participant. All financial transaction fees made at the time of payment are non-refundable. Refund transaction fees will be deducted from the amount of the refund. If The Crit Lab needs to cancel program for any reason, refunds will be submitted minus small surcharge/transaction fee.
All costs include all fees associated with the program as listed, including admission fees to all museums and sites visited as part of the tour or visited in conjunction with the residency as listed. Additional trips, museums, etc. are not covered by costs. Costs are per person: any companions to artists count as a separate individual. rices include meals as specified in program: Provisions for breakfast and dinner in Venice will be provided for preparation by participants, with one dinner excluded for restaurant meal paid for by participants. RUC all meals provided, with a combination of fully prepared meals and some meals prepared by participants. Any additional meals at cost of participant. Prices do not include airfare to and from Italy, or train fare to Venice. All other transportation included, (within Venice, from Venice to RUC, RUC to Milan Malpensa) as long as it is included in program, and as part of group travel. Additional individual travel or travel to alternate locations are not covered. Materials, art and otherwise, required for the residency are the sole responsibility of the participants unless otherwise stated.
For those utilizing housing option in Venice, accommodation begins on the night of arrival in Venice July 2. Prices include Venice July 2-6, double room accommodation. Single rooms are additional cost. Accommodation at RUC from July 6-14 includes double or single rooms, TBD once registration is complete. Accommodations are contracted and participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the independent organization (AirnBnb, RUC) in their use of the accommodations. These accommodations are only for the use of the registered participants and overnight guest are prohibited.
Pets are not allowed in any locations.
Smoking is not allowed in any of the facilities or housing accommodations.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
Check in to accommodation in Venice is July 2, during the afternoon. Group taxi from Venice train station to accommodation in Venice is provided by the program, time to be determined as schedules are coordinated. If participants miss the taxi, travel and any affiliated costs to accommodation is sole responsibility of individual. Group travel from Venice to RUC will be covered by program. Group travel from RUC to Malpensa Airport will be provided by program-separate travel accommodations and affiliated costs are the sole responsibility of individual.
The owners and employees of The Crit Lab LLC shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury suffered by the workshop participants. The Crit Lab LLC assumes no liability for any loss, damage, expense, injury or inconvenience by reason of any defects in the structure of the property, plumbing, electric system, gas, water, or failures in the supply of utilities for either the studio facilities or housing. For any loss or damage to the studio or housing facilities or fixtures/fittings caused by workshop participants, the cost of repair or replacement will be paid by the participants to the owners of the accommodations and/or studio facilities. The safety and welfare of children is the sole responsibility of their parent and guardian.
CANCELLATION AND SUBSTITUTIONS
We reserve the right to cancel any program due to insufficient registration. Participants will be notified of cancellations by the registration deadline as outlined in Dates and Deadlines. A full refund will be made in the case of cancellation. This includes only travel organized by The Crit Lab LLC, and does not include travel purchased separately by participants.
Refunds do not apply when program is canceled as a result of a risk of war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions and similar events beyond our control.
It is solely the responsibility of the workshop participants to obtain travel and health insurance while enrolled in The Crit Lab LLC Programs.
We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage you may suffer during the period of your course due to accident, illness, bodily injury or loss of equipment, of belongings or from any other case.
PASSPORTS AND/OR VISAS
It is the sole responsibility of the workshop participant to obtain travel documents necessary to attend the workshops.
DATES, DEADLINES, AND NOTIFICATION
Registration deadline and cancellation notification deadline- MARCH 1, 2019. Registration for specific program may be extended based on availability. Final payment deadline- APRIL 30, 2019. Notification will be made in a timely manner in the event of any necessary changes to any workshops.
The Crit Lab LLC reserve the right to remove any disruptive participants from the workshops and/or housing without refund.
Participants in the workshops are required to have a functioning cell phone while attending the program.
INFORMATION COLLECTION, USE, AND SHARING
YOUR ACCESS TO AND CONTROL OVER INFORMATION
You may opt out of any future forms of contact at any time by contacting us via the email address as given on the website. This same address may be used to request a listing of all collected personal data, if any; a change or correction of any data we have about you; the deletion of any data about you; or to express any concern you have about our use of your data.
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. Whenever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), the information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the webpage. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or stoma service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
In order to use some functions of this website, the user must complete the registration form. During registration, a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). The information is used to contact you about the products/services on our site in which you have expressed interest. We request information from you on our registration forms. To enroll in one of our programs, you must provide contact information (like name and address) and financial information (like credit card number and expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.

The Crit Lab LLC respects your privacy. A person attending a Crit Lab LLC event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to The Crit Lab LLC at firstname.lastname@example.org, in writing of his/her intentions. The Crit Lab LLC will only use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence.
We reserve the right to use any photographs or videos taken at any event sponsored by The Crit Lab LLC, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photographs or videos. The Crit Lab LLC may use the photographs or videos in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by The Crit Lab LLC including but not limited to: advertisements, social media, brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, newsletters, emails etc.
To ensure the privacy of individuals, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent or legal guardian.
By participating in a The Crit Lab LLC event or by failing to notify The Crit Lab LLC, in writing, your desire to not have your photograph used by The Crit Lab LLC, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify The Crit Lab LLC from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.
Any person or organization not affiliated with The Crit Lab LLC may not use, copy, alter or modify The Crit Lab LLC photographs, graphics, videography or other, similar reproductions or recordings without the advance permission of an authorized designee from The Crit Lab LLC.
