Lucinda Bliss

Lucinda Bliss is an artist, writer, teacher, and administrator with 20 years of experience in higher education. She serves as Dean of the College of Arts & Media at the University of Colorado Denver. She has held faculty and administrative positions at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, the New Hampshire Institute of Art, and Colby College, among others. Bliss holds a BA degree in Art History from Skidmore College and an MFA in Visual Art from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her work has been shown at venues including Stanley Whitman House Museum, Lamont Gallery at Phillips Exeter Academy, the Ogunquit Museum of Art, Aucocisco Gallery, Common Street Arts, Landmark College, The University of New England, Bates College Museum of Art, the University of Arizona, the Tucson Museum of Art, The Brattleboro Museum, and the Boston Center for the Arts, among others. Using drawing, painting, collage, and installation, Bliss’ work illuminates our understanding of place and the ways that landscape intertwines with the human narrative.
